Her mission is to educate and empower athletes, enlightening them about the profound impact of nutrition on performance, recovery, and longevity. Alayna creates practical strategies, enabling athletes to thrive and succeed in their endeavors.

Alayna’s Story | Lifelong Athlete, Nutrition Expert

Alayna’s athletic journey included soccer, basketball, and lacrosse, but it was during her junior year in high school when she joined the cross country team that she faced a significant challenge: how to properly fuel her body. With intense practices after a full day of school, she struggled to find the right nutrition balance. Despite numerous attempts, her solution of not eating for hours before practice and meets in fear of eating the wrong foods, only hindered her performance. Post-training, her refueling often relied on sugary candies, chips, and processed foods from the snack stand, representing a typical American high-school diet. Struggling with low energy and fatigue, Alayna struggled to reach her full potential.

After high school, Alayna embarked on her collegiate lacrosse journey at The Ohio State University. Yet again, she grappled with understanding how to fuel herself for this new lifestyle and rigorous training. As a freshman, constant dining hall access led to an unwanted 15 lbs weight gain. Discomfort with her body changes pushed her into exhaustive cardio sessions. Sophomore year brought a new set of challenges – living off-campus, managing grocery shopping and cooking, all while juggling classes, practices, travel, and a social life.

As she immersed herself in Dietetics studies, everything fell into place. Food became her fuel, and she realized the importance of having a structured plan. Collaborating with her sports dietitian at The Ohio State, Alayna crafted a personalized strategy, and it made a significant impact. Alayna’s collegiate journey culminated in her becoming a 2x All-American, setting enduring school records. In September 2022, she earned a spot in the prestigious Ohio State University Athletic Hall of Fame.

After earning her degree in Dietetics, Alayna founded All-American Nutrition as a platform to educate and empower athletes to integrate nutrition into their training plans, supporting them throughout their athletic career and beyond.

Alayna’s Accolades

Alayna holds both a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition/Dietetics and a Master of Science in Medical Dietetics from The Ohio State University. Post-graduation, she underwent extensive sports nutrition training at IMG Sports Academy in Bradenton, FL. During her tenure there, she collaborated directly with the NFL Combine Training Program and athletes from diverse backgrounds. Since her experience at IMG, Alayna has continued her work with various sports teams and individuals, including professional athletes from the NFL and WNBA, Naval Academy, Loyola Women’s Lacrosse, UMBC Women’s Lacrosse, Maryvale Preparatory School, and Notre Dame Preparatory School.

Alayna, a 2x All-American Lacrosse Player at The Ohio State University, made history by setting enduring school records. Her remarkable achievements were celebrated in September 2022 when she was inducted into The Ohio State University Athletics Hall of Fame. Throughout her Ohio State journey, she garnered prestigious conference awards such as Rookie of the Year (2009), ALC All-Team Honors, and served as Team Captain. Today, Alayna continues her love for sports and competition through an active lifestyle with her family, fueling her enduring passion.
